TNT released an important announcement, stating that the plot and plot activities will be temporarily paused between Chapters 7 and Chapter 8. The plot will resume after the holiday season in early 2025. Based on community feedback, TNT will be adjusting the plot’s pacing, rebalance daily activities, and other updates, to make sure the plot ends by next year.

According to the support center’s FAQ, this pause is referred to as a “plot interval.”

The general highlights include:

1. No points will be obtainable until the plot resumes.
2. Buying and activating double plot point cookies unavailable November 1st
   • You will not be able to buy or activate these cookies until the plot resumes
3. Void essence collection paused on November 8th
   • You will still be able to receive previously unclaimed community goal prizes
   • You will still be able to receive previously unclaimed void essence collection prizes
4. Volunteering at the Neohospital will be paused on November 9th
   • You can complete existing shifts and claim rewards for them, but you will NOT be able to start new shifts until the plot resumes.
5. Fighting plot challengers will be paused on November 9th
   • You will be able to complete existing fights if you had started them before the plot was paused.
   • You will not be able to start new battles until the plot resumes.
6. Reading comics from the current chapter paused on November 11th
   • No new comics will be released while the plot is paused.
   • You will still be allowed to read previously released comics.
7. You will still be able to spend plot points in the prize shop.
   • No items will be removed from the prize shop.
   • Plot points DO NOT expire between episodes.
8. You can still play the daily games (Voidworks, Cosy Campfire Collection, Tavi’s Tea Time) to receive Neopoints and item rewards.
   • You will not be able to earn any plot points for completing these activities.

We’re pausing the Void Within plot between Chapters 7 and 8 to make exciting improvements based on your feedback. Thank you all for your energy and insights — your involvement has been incredible!

During this brief break, plot-related activities like void point collection, battles, volunteering, comics, and achievements will pause, as well as an update for Voidworks. We have plenty of holiday events planned for the rest of this year, and The Void Within will return after the holiday season in early 2025!

Today is the last day to explore the Haunted Mansion, a traditional NC Event. Head on over to the NC Mall to purchase a 1-, 5- or 16-pack of Spooky Skull Candles to unlock various wearable items. We are not sure if the new avatar, Dead Chia, is only given during the month of October. We wouldn’t be cautious if we did not put out a reminder right now to get the avatar today just in case! We will continue to check after October if the avatar is still redeemable. 

The classic Haunted Woods Site Theme is available to redeem between 11:59:00pm and 11:59:59pm NST tonight (on October 31st). To redeem the site theme, refresh anywhere on the site within that second of time. Good luck!

Lastly, Count von Roo will be spending all of October 31st awake to celebrate the grand night for not so good Neopians. This means that you can play Deadly Dice with him throughout the day and win a chance for the avatar! Be sure to check to see if you have the avatar prior to playing Deadly Dice as a losing round forces you to lose your avatar until you tie with him again. Good luck!
