The Silver Cloud II debuted at the 1959 Earls Court Motor Show and featured four-door saloon bodywork by Rolls-Royce. The factory-supported Drophead Coupe “Adaptations” were completed by coachbuilder H.J. Mulliner & Co, who converted standard saloon bodies into a two-door open configuration.

Chassis SAE.79 is fitted with Mulliner DHC bodywork and was delivered from the factory in Shell Grey with red pinstripes. The body was repainted in its current gold under previous ownership. Equipment includes a bright-finished radiator grille, bumpers with overriders, window surrounds, and trim as well as a Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, Lucas driving lights, dual side mirrors, vent windows, and a power-operated tan Everflex vinyl convertible top with a matching boot. There is a stone chip on the left fender and paint cracks on the rear cowl. The reverse light assembly is pitted.

The 15″ steel wheels wear polished covers with body-color inserts and are mounted with 235/75 Goodyear whitewall radial tires. The Silver Cloud featured a coil-sprung front suspension as well as a live rear axle with leaf springs. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic drums at all four corners.
