A spokesperson for the Alameda County Coroner told Entertainment Tonight: “Angus Cloud died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more, in what is ruled as an accidental overdose.

At the time, his family released the following statement to TMZ: “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

Cloud appeared as Fezco in the hit HBO drama series alongside the likes of Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi.

HBO wrote in a statement regarding the actor’s death: “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and euphoriafamily. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”

The 25-year-old was born and raised in Oakland to Irish parents and had planned to move to Ireland before becoming involved in the world of film and TV.

Cloud had studied set-building and lighting at Oakland School for the Art and was working at a restaurant in New York City when Euphoria casting director, Jennifer Venditti, approached him for the role of Fez.
