The Shamshir is a bladed weapon and part of Toan ‘s weapon inDark Cloud, and Monica Raybrandt’s melee weapons in Dark Chronicle. It has a long handle and a curved blade. In the first game it can be built up from the Baselard and can be built up to the Dusack. It can be found as early as in the Divine Beast Cave and is one of the best weapons gained at that point.
In Dark Chronicle it is used by Monica and can be found in treasure chests. It may also be purchased you at Milane’s Weapon Shop for 600 Gilda upon progressing to Chapter 4. The Shamshir can only be built up into the Dusack.

Shamshir or (Persian: شمشیر) is a type of curved sword originating from Central Asia. Originally, Iranian swords were straight and two-edged, while curved scimitar type swords were of Central Asian Turkish origin and had a 5 to 15 degree curve from tip to tip. The origin of Shamshir dates back to the 9th century and was introduced to Iran by the Seljuk Dynasty in the 12th century. Its use became widespread in Persia in the 16th century, and there were analogues in the Ottoman Empire (yatağan), the Mughal Empire (telvar) and Arabia (seyf).
