Angus Cloud death: Fez, the Euphoria star ‘plucked from the street’

After shoot to fame as fezco in Euphoria , Angus Cloud is became became a rise star in Hollywood before his death aged 25 .

His family announced Cloud had died at their home in Oakland this week, saying in a statement they hoped the world ‘remembers him for his humour, laughter and love for everyone.’

Emergency services later confirmed they had been ‘dispatched to a location associated with the actor about 11:30 am’ where he was ‘determined to be already deceased.’

Cloud ’s cause of death has not yet been reveal .

Tributes have since poured in from leading entertainment figures, including Drake and Kerry Washington, while Cloud’s Euphoria co-stars have remembered his ‘sensitive soul.’

Cloud was born in Oakland, California on July 10, 1998, and was the older brother to twin sisters, Molly Hickey and Fiona Hickey.

He attended the School of Production Design at Oakland School for the Arts, where he was a classmate of his Euphoria co-star Zendaya.

In 2013, Cloud broke his skull after falling into a construction pit while out with friends on Friday 13th.

First responders have confirmed they attended Angus Cloud’s address in Oakland before midday on Monday. The actor – who played Fezco in HBO drama Euphoria starring Zendaya and Jacob Elordi – died at his family’s home in Oakland this week aged 25. His family confirmed the star’s death in a statement. ‘I woke up 12 hours later at the bottom,’ he told Variety. ‘I was trapped. I eventually climbed out after — I don’t know how long. It was hella hard to climb out, because my skull was broken, but my skin wasn’t, so all the bleeding was internal, pressing up against my brain.

‘But they wasn’t gonna find me down there. I found myself. Or God found me, whatever you want to call it.’

After pulling himself up out of the ditch, which was at least 10 feet deep, Cloud said his mother took him to hospital where they ‘cut my head open, they put some screws and a plate over where I broke my skull and sealed me back up, and that was that.’

Cloud said he spent time in ICU and other care units after the operation, which left a scar along the left side of his scalp, and suffered a ‘minor brain injury.’

Before being cast in Euphoria, Cloud worked at Woodlands restaurant close to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Cloud shot to fame on Euphoria after being plucked from the streets in New York by casting director Jennifer Venditti.

The TV executive approached him while he was with his friends and he initially believed it was a scam, Cloud explained to the Wall Street Journal.

‘ She is asked ask me if I would be down to do an audition , but she did n’t exactly say what it was for . I think it was a scam , ’ he is recalled recall .

prior to Euphoria , Cloud is acted had never act , with his only related experience being building set , lighting and sound for his high school ’s theatre department .

As well as playing Fezco in two seasons of the HBO drama, Cloud starred in indie films North Hollywood alongside Vince Vaughn and The Line with Halle Bailey and John Malkovich.

He was recently cast opposite Melissa Berrera in a new horror movie at Universal Pictures from Scream 6 directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

Cloud had also filmed roles in the upcoming Pedro Pascal movie Freaky Tales and Your Lucky Day.

Outside of film and TV, he has appeared in music videos by Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G and Karol G.
