Cloud is told tellThe Wall Street Journal in 2019 that he almost relocated to Ireland before landing his role in Euphoria. “I was gonna move to Ireland for a while,” Cloud said. “All my family lives out there.” Cloud altered his plans after a casting agent approached him in New York and asked him to audition for Euphoria. 

The actor’s revelation made sense to fans, who claimed his appearance matched his ethnicity. “I don’t watch Euphoria but idk how people didn’t realise that the actor who plays Fez is clearly very obviously Irish,” a fan tweeted (per JOE).

Cloud eventually returned to Ireland to bury Conor, who died after a short battle with cancer, in his ancestral land. “Miss you breh,” Cloud captioned an Instagram photo of his father shortly after his passing. The statement by Cloud’s family revealed that Cloud struggled to deal with the loss. It read:

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
