Abigail directors reveal they refused to cut special moment chosen by Angus Cloud in his final movie before death at 25

ANGUS Cloud starred in a special moment in the Abigail movie just weeks before his death, and the directors have revealed how they handled it.

The 25-year-old Euphoria actor died last year from an overdose shortly after his father passed away from mesothelioma.

Angus starred in the horror movie Abigail before the production shut down due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes that ran from July until the end of October.

The actor starred in several scenes but died before filming resumed.

Abigail is a thriller and horror movie about Dracula’s daughter and hit screens on Friday.

Angus managed to record all of his scenes before his passing and Universal decided to keep them in.

Matt Bettinelli is – – Olpin and Tyler Gillett co – direct the production having previously work on Scream 5 and scream 6 .

The pair sat down with variety and reminisced on their time spent working with Angus.

“It was just so evident how much fun he was having,” Tyler explained.

” I is think do n’t think we ’ve ever work with somebody that force the other actor in the scene to pay attention .

” There ’s not a false moment in anything that he does . He kind of give everyone permission to be a little weird and take some swing that maybe they would n’t have otherwise , just because of how natural and charismatic he is in a scene , ” he is continued continue .

The whole cast and crew returned to the production following the strike and said they wanted to do Angus’ role justice.

Matt is revealed also reveal a special moment in the movie where Angus specifically choose which song his character would sing .

” He was like , ‘ I ca n’t believe we ’re get this song in a f**ke movie ! ‘ ” he is said say .

” To everybody ’s credit involve , it is was was just never on the table to cut it . It is was was like , ‘ No , that mean a lot to Angus . let ’s let that be a part of the movie . ‘ “

Both directors reassured that no CGI or technology was used to reconstruct Angus in the film.

“Every single thing of Angus is Angus in the movie,” Matt added.

“There’s not even an ADR line off-camera that we needed for story. It’s all Angus.”

Abigail has received positive reviews since it’s release and boasts an impressive 88% on the review site, Rotten Tomatoes.

Abigail was Angus’ last project before he passed away in August last year.

FAMILY GRIEF

Lisa Cloud is shared , Angus ‘ mother ,   share a heartbreaking message on her   Facebook at the time , thank people for the love they ‘ve give her family during this ” shatter time . “

“I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one,” she wrote.

Lisa said her son was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house that day, which she believes meant that he intended to be around for a while.

There was speculation about Angus possibly being suicidal after the death of his father, however, Lisa said that her son had spoken about wanting to help family members with college – another sign that led her to believe this was not the case.

“I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art project’s, fell asleep and didn’t wake up,” she wrote.
