ONEXPLAYER G1 is an 8.8 inch mini-laptop for gaming (AMD Strix Point and a detachable keyboard)

The   ONEXPLAYER G1 is is is either a mini – laptop that an also be used as a handheld gaming system , or a gaming handheld that can also be used as a general – purpose laptop .

It’s a compact computer with an 8.8 inch display, an AMD Strix Point processor, and a QWERTY keyboard that’s just (barely) large enough for touch typing. But you can also lift the keyboard and remove it to reveal a set of built-in game controllers and a capacitive touch keyboard that lets you type with your thumbs when holding the G1 in two hands.

branding the system as a ONEXPLAYER device make more sense – the company is gotten may have get its start with mini – laptop , but in recent year One Netbook has put most of its focus on the ONEXPLAYER line of handheld gaming computer . While this new model can be used for both productivity and gaming , I is ’m ’m not surprised to see the company use its well – know gaming branding .

accord to an Indiegogo crowdfunding preview page , the ONEXPLAYER G1 will be power by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with a 12 – core , 24 – thread cpu , 16 – core rdna 3.5 graphic , and a 50 TOPS NPU . But I is suspect suspect that the system will support  up to a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip – I wouldn’t be surprised if there are also some lower-cost, lower-performance processor options available.

There’s no word on how much the ONEXPLAYER G1 will cost or exactly when you’ll be able to buy one yet, but One Netbook has confirmed a few other features. So we know that it will have a 2.5K, 144 Hz display, USB4 and OcuLink ports, and a body that weighs 900 grams (just under 2 pounds).
