Who is Samui in Naruto?

The Fourth Raikage dispatched Samui and her team to Konoha to inform them that they will be eliminating Sasuke Uchiha and the Akatsuki. She was shown complaining about shoulder pain which, according to her teammate, was caused due to the size of her bust. Samui made no response, unlike Karui.

As the team approached the outskirts of the village, they were appalled to see a crater in Konohagakure, caused by Pain’s Shinra Tensei. Samui ordered her team to look for someone and find out what had happened. Later, they found out from a Konoha jonin about the Akatsuki invasion of that village. Samui then asked the jonin to let her have an audience with the Hokage to deliver Raikage’s letter. Finding out about the Fifth Hokage’s coma condition, Samui shows her disappointment and asks Shizune to talk to the new leader. Immediately, Danzo Shimura appears, proclaiming to be the new Hokage and accepts Raikage’s letter.

Yamato, Kakashi and Naruto followed Samui to the Land of Iron where they met the Raikage. Naruto requested the Raikage to cancel Sasuke’s elimination and his request was refused. Samui and her team left with him soon after. Later, Samui was seen welcoming Killer B and the Raikage back to the village.

Samui was ordered by the Raikage to form a Surprise Attack Division and split the forces into multiple divisions and get them information. She later fights alongside her brother Atsui to aid Darui’s fight against Kinkaku and Ginkaku. She configures their weapons and relays the information to her team. Samui and her team are attacked by a group of White Zetsu, where she tries to stop Atsui from attacking as she still has more to explain about the legendary weapons.

After Atsui dispatches the White Zetsu, both he and Samui are hit by Kokinjo and have their word souls pulled out of their mouths. The words they most frequently use, being Samui’s ‘cool’ appear on the flat of the Shichiseiken as their word souls are subsequently severed from their bodies. Kinkaku then draws the term souls into the Benihisago. Samui covers Atsui’s mouth as he begins to speak, stopping him abruptly. She says their souls have been held hostage and that they have been affected by a mixed curse and sealing technique. They will be permanently sealed in the Benihisago if they use the words they’ve spoken the most throughout their lives.

Then, using the Bashsen, Kinkaku summons flame wrap, a huge wave of flame that Samui and Darui dodged. Atsui, struck by the flames and entirely unaware of his excessive use of the term “hot”, says it, leading to his imprisonment inside for good. Ginkaku then surprises Samui and restrains her. He threatens Darui saying if he moves, he’ll kill her.

As Darui apologizes to Samui and attacks Kinkaku, the latter sobs and closes her eyes. He cuts off Kinkaku’s limb before using his Storm release: Laser Circus move to protect Samui from Ginkaku. Samui is eventually locked inside the Benihisago by Ginkaku despite never using the word “cool” and failing to utter anything for a sufficient amount of time. Darui implies that she is still alive by promising to find a method to find her.
