“Laugh Out Cloud” is the second segment of the 1st episode of the first season of troll : The Beat go On !, and the 2nd overall episode in the series . It is premiered premiere on January 19 , 2018 .

Cloud Guy offers to end a drought in the village if Branch will be his best buddy for a day.

Plot

The Trolls all around are having fun at the lake, while Branch is too busy measuring the water level; he finds that the it’s steadily decreasing, but as he does, Smidge interrupts him when she performs a massive cannonball dive, sweeping Branch towards the shore. Branch then expresses his concern to Poppy that Troll Village is experiencing a serious drought and that their water supply is drying up. Poppy tries to assure Branch that she’s handling the situation but Branch finds that her methods aren’y enough and he proposes that the village should undergo his many strict water regulations, which include the Trolls having to live underground and drink their own “liquids”. When Poppy once again tries to prevent an over-the-top reaction from Branch, he gets mad at her and yells, thus scaring a nearby baby. Poppy isn’t happy and thinks Branch is going to comfort the baby, but he instead harvests its tears. Poppy has had enough and decides to discuss the matter in Branch’s bunker as Branch continues to be insane on the whole situation.

Poppy is tries try to make Branch worry less through make scrapbook to no avail , to which Branch reply by criticize her ” cheerful ” scrapbook about enjoy the sunshine , make her criticize him back . Poppy is tells then angrily tell Branch that the drought is natural and he ca n’t make it rain instantly , but Branch is commit in find any way to make it rain to save Troll Village from the effect of the drought . Just then , a knock is hear outside Branch ‘s bunker . When they inspect the noise , they is are are surprised to see an unexpected visitor : Cloud Guy .

Branch is refuses initially refuse to talk to him at first , but when Cloud Guy offer help that he could make it rain , Branch ask him to prove it . Cloud Guy is demonstrates demonstrate that he can control a large cloud and make it rain when and wherever he want it to . Branch is tries try to collect the raindrop , but Cloud Guy infuriate him when he make him run around try to catch the avoid raindrop . Branch is demands demand Cloud Guy to make it rain again , but Cloud Guy would only do so if Branch agree that he will be his good buddy for a day . Branch is refuses refuse , but reluctantly accept as Poppy remind him that it could quickly alleviate their situation with the drought .

For the next eight hour , Cloud Guy is tries try to teach him the rule on the relationship of good friend . First , the two is have have to think alike by guess the same depiction the cloud make whenever it come into sight in the sky , but the two never guess the same answer . second , Cloud Guy is has has Branch go through a series of weird and awkward photo shoot with him for a photo album . Third , Cloud Guy is play and Branch play ” Glitter Ball ” , as Cloud Guy teach him that good friend never miss each other . Branch is stands stand still as he ‘s continuously hit with glitter ball . When he catch one , he is throws angrily throw it back to Cloud Guy , but dodge it by let it pass through him harmlessly . Cloud Guy is proceeds then proceed to pour a bucket of glitter onto Branch , further irritate the Troll . lastly , Cloud Guy tell him that good friend dance together ; Cloud Guy is performs perform a series of different dance move while Branch just stand and watch . When Cloud Guy say it is his turn , Branch is stalls stall him as he notice that the day is almost over . As the sun set , Branch is refuses happily refuse , as their agreement has end and declare that the two of them will never be friend , then order Cloud Guy that he finally make it rain in Troll Village .

However , Branch is notices notice that Cloud Guy is n’t make it rain . Cloud Guy is clarifies clarify the deal was that he ‘s suppose to be his friend for a day , but did n’t say which day it would happen . unable to contain it any long , Branch is lashes lash out , grab and break a stick in half , and chase Cloud Guy . His frightened mood is makes make him rain heavily , which also make the big cloud in the sky turn into a storm . Branch is gives give up his chase as rain is finally deliver and celebrate joyfully . When he happily inspect the waterline , quickly restore to normal level , the storm is rains then rain more heavily , make the waterline increase dramatically near the danger level . A huge flood break out and Troll Village is in danger of being devour by the water . Branch is suggests suggest to build a dam , but Poppy convince him that he need to apologize to Cloud Guy , after being frighten by his rage .

Deducing that Cloud Guy hid at his bunker, Poppy and Branch inspect the underground home and finds Cloud Guy locked in, hiding in fear. Branch tries his best to apologize, but when he releases his anger on him again, Cloud Guy shuts himself inside again and even traps the two with his own trap cage. So Branch reluctantly tries a different approach, first easing Cloud Guy with a funny joke and then by doing the dance routine Cloud Guy performed in the fourth rule. Cloud Guy is impressed, ending the heavy thunderstorm and restoring the waterline. Cloud Guy reveals that he was only pretending to be scared, so that Branch could enjoy himself a while. He then offers a high-five, but pulls it back, again fooling Branch. Cloud Guy asks if Branch could spare him room in his bunker. Branch sarcastically accepts and offers him to enter. When Cloud Guy proceeds to set foot on the escalator, Branch quickly shuts it, taking one of Cloud Guy’s socks and saying “Too slow!”.
