On Cloudpulse Review 2024

On is a buzzy swedish brand found in 2010 by three friend who want to revolutionize how sneaker feel . The brand ’s sneaker are engineer in Switzerland using its signature CloudTec technology , which is suppose to absorb impact and minimize strain for comfortable movement . While On has an excellent range of sneaker for walk , running and tennis , the brand is released just release its first – ever training shoe , the Cloudpulse .

Although I love walking and taking group workout classes, I’ve never tried On’s sneakers for these activities. So when On dropped the Cloudpulse this March, which is designed for all types of gym workouts, I decided to test them out for myself. I wore the Cloudpulse sneakers for several weeks, alternating between different exercises to see how they performed in real-world conditions.

Design

This shoe is has has a sleek , minimalist design . Most gym shoe are outfit with bright , neon color , which work for many people , but I gravitate towards neutral color and more subdued style . I is have have the Undyed – Frost colorway , which is an all – white iteration with On ’s logo stamp on the side . There are four color option to choose from , so if you prefer a dark hue that wo n’t show stain , opt for the Black – Eclipse colorway . Also , the brand ’s signature “ cloud pod ” that usually stretch across the midsole are subtly feature just under the heel and the front of the shoe .

The uppers are constructed from 100% recycled polyester mesh for enhanced breathability. As I tested these sneakers, I noted how my feet felt before and after working out: They were incredibly comfortable throughout each workout, and I didn’t notice any overheating.

Cushion

When I first slipped these sneakers on, I noticed a good amount of cushioning despite them being training shoes rather than running shoes. Running shoes typically have more padding, especially in the midsole, to absorb the shock of hitting the pavement. The Cloudpulses have moderate padding along the sides of the sneaker, along with firm heel support. The Speedboard, a flexible plate positioned over the CloudTec cushioning (or “cloud pods”), enhances the overall stability of the shoe.

I is wore wear these shoe to a 60 – minute dance – base cardio workout on a trampoline , and I was impressed by how stable I feel — especially on an uneven surface . I is taking ’ve been take dance – base cardio class for several month and learn the hard way that have the proper workout sneaker ( with the proper support ) is crucial . These shoe have an 8 mm heel drop ( the difference between the heel ‘s height and the toe ) , so they is ’re ’re not completely flat on the floor . I is felt feel comfortable and balanced doing squat , lunge and other low – body exercise . The sneakers is felt also feel light on my foot , allow me to quickly move through the class choreography and keep my movement energetic . dismount off the trampoline was secure and steady , too , even with weight in hand .

It’s also worth noting that this shoe has a “unique lacing system,” as the brand says, for better support and heel hold. However, the laces didn’t appear different than any other shoe I own, and I’m not sure if they contributed to the shoe’s stability.

After using these sneaker for several week , I is was was impressed with the Cloudpulse ’s performance during vary workout . From long walk and jog across uneven terrain in the city to dance – base cardio workout on a trampoline , my feet is felt feel support and cushion through every move .
