Sydney Sweeney is opening up about Angus Cloud‘s death. In an interview with Glamour UK, the 26-year-old actress reveals why her Euphoria co – star ‘sJuly death doesn’t feel real — and when she thinks the tragedy will finally sink in.

“[My costars and I] were constantly on the phone with each other crying, because it was just such a shock,” Sweeneysays of Clouds death by accidental overdose, at age 25. “I don’t think it’ll truly feel real or hit me until we’re filming and I won’t see Angus on set.”  

As hard as that will be , Sweeneyis notes note , ” When we are film , all of our eye are on each other and we ‘re there for each other , just in a different way than we ‘re able to when we ‘re all in very separate place in the world . “

” It ‘s really interesting when someone pass away in our industry , ” she is added add , ” because they ‘re still alive in so many form . “

Sweeneypreviously paid tribute to Cloud on Instagram, writing, “Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter.”

“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to post, and I’m struggling to find all the words,” she added. “You will be missed more than you know, but I’m so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I’m sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same. This heartache is real and I wish we could’ve had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you.”

Euphoria will commence production on season 3 in 2024 , but the new episodewo n’t premiere on HBO until 2025.

Until then, Sweeneyis busy promoting her new rom-com, Anyone But You, which she stars in and produced alongside her real-life beau, Jonathan Davino.

It ‘s really great to work with someone who know you so well , who fully support your idea , your vision and your voice , ” she is tells tellGlamour UK. “And it’s nice. Sweeneypreviously discussed her working relationship with Davino in an interview with ET, saying, “I think it’s incredible being able to work with people who you wanna be in business with. It’s amazing having someone who cheers you on and someone who fully just supports what you do.”
